Back to Gwent WideMultimedia Competition 2009
The Second All Wales Multimedia Competition was launched in September 2009 with a challenge to Schools, Colleges and youth groups to produce a DVD with an anti drink drive message in time for Christmas.
The age group involved were 11-25 year olds with a maximum of 6 working on each entry. Participants were encouraged to use a variety of genre: film, music, PowerPoint, poetry, slide shows – the choice was theirs.
All entries were of a high standard and it was a tricky task to choose the winners, they were:
Blaenau Gwent – Abertillery Comprehensive
Caerphilly – Oakdale Comprehensive
Torfaen – Llantarnam Comprehensive (who sent in 4 separate entries!)
The Abertillery entry was the overall Gwent winners with a slide show power point presentation that had an interesting perspective, cartoon effects and good humour.
A big congratulations goes out to all our winners and to all those who took the time and trouble to enter!
The authority winners will receive £200 for the school and £100 for the pupils involved.
The overall winner for the Gwent region will receive £500 from the Welsh Assembly and an invitation to go to the All Wales Drink Drive Launch in Caernarfon on Thursday 3rd December.
