Mayor of Newport, Noel Trigg, Chats to John Jackson, Road Safety Officer
At a recent community safety day held at Somerton Youth Club, local residents and children were invited to visit and discuss any problems they are experiencing within their community area.
Exhibitors included Gwent Police, Neighbourhood Watch, Newport City Council Community Safety Wardens and Members of Capita Symonds Road Safety Section.
The event was well attended by local residents and was also visited by Councillor Noel Trigg, Mayor of Newport.
In the photograph the Mayor is discussing various local Road Safety issues and the benefits of the Children’s Traffic Club initiative which is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government.
