For several years volunteer cycle instructors have been a bit thin on the ground in some Newport primary schools. But a group of parents at Duffryn Junior School, who are involved with Duffryn Link, decided to deliver training, using school cycles, with small groups of children. Newport’s Road Safety Officer John Jackson trained the interested parents to deliver the Safe Cycling Scheme.
In the pictures are some of the pupils who have successfully passed the test, the parents who deliver the training and John Jackson Newport’s Road Safety Officer.
