So they decided with the help of the Road Safety Officer John Jackson and PCSO Lizzie Memory to hold a poster competition to highlight to dangers to school pupils of dangerous parking.
The winning posters have been turned into a banner which is displayed outside the school to discourage parents form parking too near to the school entrance.
The presentation of prizes to the winners took place at the school with Councillor David Hando from Newport City Council, awarding the prizes to the winning entries.
All entrants received a goodie bag and certificate in recognition of their work and the winner and runners-up received a gift token and some reflective stickers.
