The Children’s Traffic Club is for 3 and 4 year olds and their parents, carers or teachers. It helps children learn important road safety skills in a fun and exciting way. There are 6 colourful books that are sent to the child in the post every three months.
Due to funding from the Welsh Assembly government and your Local Unitary Authority the scheme is completely free for all three year olds in Gwent!
As long as your child is registered with a doctor in Gwent, they will automatically receive an invitation envelope through the post on or around their third Birthday. This will be clearly recognisable as it is bright yellow and carries the Children’s Traffic Club logo on the front.
You need to fill in the small application form and return it in the freepost envelope. Your child should receive their first book within the month. The books are specially designed to match the children’s educational, emotional and psychological development, so the rest of the books will then be sent out automatically, one every three months.
Books are available in both English and Welsh - just fill in the tick box on the application form.
