4. Don´t drink and drive. Any alcohol, even a very small amount, can impair your reaction time so be a safe driver and don´t drink and drive.
5. Take a break. Tiredness is believed to be a major factor in more than 10% of road accidents. Stop for at least a 15-minute break every 2 hours during a long journey.
6. Anticipate. Observe and anticipate other road user´s actions, use your mirrors regularly and don´t forget to glance into your blind area before altering your course. Children act impulsively; take extra care outside schools, near buses and ice cream vans when they might be around.
