The Health Visitors in Abergavenny run a very successful Mothers and Toddlers Group and are always keen to provide lots of information for parents.

So, it’s a really good opportunity to talk to these parents and let them know what is available “Road Safety-wise” in Monmouthshire.

It’s also incredibly gratifying when you know you’ve got someone’s complete and undivided attention.

That’s exactly what happened. Seat restraint information, The Children’s Traffic Club, how to involve children in learning about Road Safety…And still, that same intent look, hanging on every word, hardly a blink, unbroken eye to eye contact.

What could possibly warrant such interest and concentration? It was getting to be rather unnerving.

But the biggest question of all is - is that baby who seemed to hang on every word really going to remember everything I’ve said? Maybe her mother was also listening (I hope).
