BUSK Conference - The School Run

T h e   S c h o o l   R u n
Mainstream, SEN & Wheelchair Passengers

Although entitled ‘The School Run’ this conference not only promises to find solutions to the problems associated with transporting large numbers of children and young people to and from school each day but will also be of interest to anyone responsible for making transport arrangements for adults. If you are responsible for procuring, managing or monitoring school transport and making all necessary checks to ensure the safety of pupils in your care ask yourself these simple questions…

1. Is behaviour a problem on the school run?
2. Do you receive complaints surrounding school transport provision?
3. Do you worry about a potential legal action in the event that something may go tragically wrong?

And what if something did go wrong on a journey…

4. Would children in your care know what to do?
5. Would the driver know what to do in the event of an accident or even a breakdown where children with SEN are on board?
6. Have you a well defined emergency plan in place that is understood by all stakeholders?

If you answered ‘yes’ to at least two of the first three questions and ‘no’ to at least two out of questions 4 to 6 the chances are that you would benefit substantially by attending this conference where we will endeavour to send you away with solutions to many of the current problems experienced on home to school transport services both for mainstream, SEN and wheelchair passengers.
