Flying Start, Monmouthshire




Flying Start at Deri View, Abergavenny and Bridges Community Centre, Monmouth

Health Visitors working on the Flying Start programme always ensure parents are provided with a range of advice and support from organisations such as Road Safety.

Seat restraints are usually high on the agenda. But this is also a time to talk about lots of other Road Safety issues.

Parents took part in a quiz and two older children, Chelsea from Overmonnow Primary School and Jordan from Trellech Primary School were first class helpers in handing out pencils and quiz sheets.

Chelsea was really clued up on the answers because she remembered them from Mrs Tufty’s visits to her school.

It will be a little while before the younger children will pose a liability as pedestrians, though. They have to learn to walk first”…


Flying Start is a programme which offers services to 0-3 year olds and their families Road Safety is one of the organisations which travels to support parents where they are.
