Abergavenny Steam Rally 2009




Something rarely mentioned on the website this year – THE WEATHER WAS FINE at the steam rally!

Jayne Haycock and Carolyn Derosaire thought that it was just the rain last year which made the Road Safety trailer an attractive “port in a storm”.

This year, in spite of the sun, people still flocked to take part in activities and talk about their Road Safety concerns – from child seat restraints to Highway Codes for Mobility Scooters.

“Tufty” and “Iolo” were inundated by fans in their regular promenades around the field. Luckily the local vet was on hand in case of heat exhaustion.
