Traffic Education

There has been a rising increase in traffic accidents involving scooters and mopeds in the region in recent years. This shows that if not driven responsibly, these types of vehicles can be hazardous to both the rider and other road users. As a result the Road Safety team has introduced a program that teaches participants how to adopt safe practices whilst riding such vehicles.

As with our cycle training courses, the training is conducted away from public roads in a simulated environment to ensure safety for participants. Students are taken through both practical riding training as well as theory based lessons in order to improve their all round riding skills. The course is run over 2 years and is undertaken as part of the GCSE curriculum for comprehensive school students
