As a result of its success in 2009, the Wales Anti Drink Drive Multi Media Competition will be run again in 2010.
Teams of up to 6 students from your organisation can enter the Anti Drink Drive Multi-Media Competition, which is designed to test their ingenuity and creativeness while delivering a powerful anti-drink drive message.
Full information is given below, but basically the rules are:
• Participating teams should consist of no more than 6 members aged between 11 and 25.
• The final presentation should be no longer than three minutes.
• Entries to be submitted on DVD (or other similar media) and sent to the address below no later than Friday 22 October 2010.
• Prizes for the winning entry are £200 to be shared between the Team and £50 for their school, college or other organisation.
• The winning entry will then be submitted to the Regional Competition, the winners of which will receive £500 for the organisation plus additional team prizes. Nationally, the four Regional winning entries will be invited to receive their prize and give the presentation at the All Wales Drink Drive launch at Parc y Scarlets, Llanelli on Thursday 2 December. All travel expenses will be covered.

To promote the anti drinking and driving message, schools and youth organisations are invited to devise, perform and record a live action multimedia presentation that will warn people of the dangers and/or consequences of drinking and driving,
Competition Guidelines
1. There should be a maximum of 6 performers
2. Team members must be aged between 11 and 25
3. The presentation should be under 3 minutes in length and can use a range of media including any of the following:
• Musical performance
• Drama/Sketch
• Poetry/Oration
• Animation
• Documentary
• Comedy
• Dance
4. The presentation must be submitted on video or DVD with names and ages of the participating Team plus their host school, college or other organisation.
5. The presentation will be judged under the following criteria (not in priority)
• Originality
• Message
• Performance
• Impact
The team submitting the winning entry for each Local Authority will receive £200 to share between them. Their school, college or organisation will receive £50.
The Local Authority winning entry will then be submitted to the Gwent Regional Competition. Winners of the Gwent Regional Competition will receive £500 for the school/organisation they represent and additional individual team prizes.
Nationally, the four Regional winning entries will be invited to receive their prize and showcase their presentation at the All Wales Drink Drive launch at Parc y Scarletts in Llanelli on Thursday 2 December 2010. (All expenses will be covered.)
The closing date for submission of entries for the Local Authority competition is Friday 22 October 2010.
